CLASSIC REFORMER FOUNDATION INSTRUCTOR EDUCATION

This education is suitable if you have a good foundation in Pilates and are now curious to learn to teach the method in a professional studio.

This is a hands on thorough apprentice education in a professional studio.

Successful students can be invited to teach at Limhamn Pilates Studio.

• Foundation Reformer & Matwork exercises

• How to build the body & teach

• Exercise order & when to add and subtract exercises

• Supporting different customer levels

• Navigating the professional standards required in a studio 

 

STUDENT REQUIREMENTS

To apply you must have:-

• Completed at least 10 classes at Limhamn Pilates

• Have regular Pilates Reformer/Matwork experience

• Be confident to guide a class

• Have a good attitude, be committed and open to coaching & feedback

• Prior teaching experience is helpful

 

This is a robust education, with a selective admission procedure.

Students are required to commit to the course and follow the requirements

with a willingness to accept mentoring and feedback.

 

You Will Develop:

• Classical Reformer technique to Basic/Foundation level (Matwork & Reformer)

• Understanding of classical progressions and the “thread” of the system

• Clear, safe class delivery and intelligent cueing

• Skill in working with the bodies in front of you

• Professional studio standards and teaching approach

Entry Requirements:

• Minimum 10 Reformer/Matwork classes completed at Limhamn Pilates

• Consistent Reformer & Matwork practice

• Confidence communicating in front of a group

• Commitment, maturity, and openness to feedback

Graduates who demonstrate readiness may be invited to teach at Limhamn

Pilates, supporting our community through small group classes and private training.
